Our Mission is to protect resources and maintain free public access in the Yankee Boy Basin Area.

In the past, the US Forest Service charged fees to enter this area. Part of the income was used for resource protection. Our program was created in cooperation with the USFS, and Ouray BOCC to protect the area without fees. YBCA is run entirely by volunteers and funded by public donations.
